Devlin shared this interview on KUER with me today. He heard it on his way to work the other day. The idea is excellent. Devlin and I both enjoy talking with our parents and recording their stories. I thought I'd pass the article along to motivate you to sit down and record an interview with one of your loved ones too :-). Click the link below to hear the 4 minute interview:

Old Yeller
My favorite quote of the day comes from Old Yeller. We rented it from the library this morning after going to story time.
"Your Mama was cookin' supper before I left the house. It might hurt her feelings if we're not there on time to eat it." -The Dad in Old Yeller (Jim)
Thought this quote would make some of you smile :-).

Name them one by one:
- Devlin
- William
- Maxson
- Gwen
- My parents
- Devlin's parents
- Our awesome apartment ---really and truly...we recently stopped looking at houses and the houses we looked at made me more thankful for my apartment INSTEAD of making me want a house. Some houses are really weird.
- My talents: playing the piano, art, computers, etc.
- My awesome neighbors through the years....and currently (even the one's that abandoned me and moved to Saratoga Springs...I still like you)
- Paper snowflakes hanging in my apartment that I made with Jamie
- The cool YW in my ward!
- Gwen wearing William's backpack saying "I go to schhhooool, Mom! I go to school! It's too big!"
- The upcoming primary talent show
- My new duvet cover
- Hanging out at IKEA with friends :-)
- A working washer and dryer
- Multiple working cars
- A TV that shows everything pink, except for the color green that displays as black
- Showers
- Haircuts
- Prepared speakers at church
- The sun
- When my kids play nice together

What are YOU thankful for?
I'm getting ready to go to bed and I watched this.
So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful for a wonderful husband who loves me, and tells me everyday how "hot" I am (you may not agree, but he thinks so and I'm glad he does). I thankful he loves me and I love him. I'm thankful for three healthy, strong willed children. I love them so much. I love William with his quirky personality who tries desperately to have everyone's attention at all times no matter the cost. I love that he likes to draw just like me. I love Maxson with his frequent hugs and "I love you Mama" and cheek to cheek "ahhs." I love his easy going personality. I love Gwen with her demands to dress like a princess every day and desire to dance to the scene menu on Cinderella. I love that she snuggles with me.
I have a ton more...but I'll save them for "Daley" posts throughout the month of Thankgiving :-).
