When we came in from playing outside this evening, I tried rounding the boys up for dinner. William would have none of it. He was bound and determined to pick up all the toys. (For those of you who don't know--no, he doesn't usually do this.) I have no idea what got into him. He was rushing about singing a song as if he were in a race (imitating me and Devlin most likely when we help them clean up). He saw my slippers in the middle of the floor, at first thought he went to the shoe shelf to put them away. He immediately changed his mind when he glanced at my feet and saw my shoes still on. He sat down on the floor, took my shoes off and replaced them with my slippers. After that, he stood up and gave me a hug in response to my heart-felt, "Thank you!" He promptly went to the shoe shelf and put my shoes away. Of course, none of the toys are in their right spot--they're all piled up in the dress up box and a large cardboard box they've been playing with. But hey--I didn't have to lift a finger tonight. The living room is spic and span. William even said we needed to vacuum. I was totally amazed. He was on fire. I told him we didn't have to vacuum, so he got out the toy vacuum and "vacuumed" the entire floor. It was awesome. Not until he finished cleaning did he come sit down for dinner. I was so thankful! What a sweetie. Now--if he'll only keep up the habit till he's out of the house!

Wow! You have little Prince Charming there. He is so grown up from the last time we saw him.
Okay Cheree....I am glad you recorded this for posterity, so when he is 17 you can look at it and remember! Because take it from me.....IT WILL NEVER HAAPPEN AGAIN.
Love you both!
